Synopsis: The American Destroyer Jeffries is torpedoed. Adams and Sawyer float for six days in a lifeboat until they see an old sailing ship. They decide to escape and fall in to the sea when a railing breaks away. They float for days clutching the railing. They are picked up by a Navy cruiser.
