The Complete Spacehawk Collection - the DCM version.
Featuring the unique talents of Basil Wolverton!
Debuting today as part of our 11th anniversary!

Basil rightly has a cult following for his completely original art style and his broad sense of humour.

Planned for ages we're finally able to complete and share it today. It comes in two parts with a new introduction by DCM member Steve D (who has his own Mystic Moot collection also on DCM) and 76 pages of re-edits made especially for the collection. Graphic design work by Yocitrus who also has several other collections on DCM. Check the end of this collection for a list.

Included as a bonus are Wolverton's space themed work for Centaur Comics during the same years and ending with his most famous 50s horror story - The Brain-Bats of Venus!

Contributing as well is DCM's OtherEric who provides many of the original scans from his personal collection as well as to Steve D's introduction.

There's an 'Extras only' file with higher resolution pages for those that might want to read it easier. We hope everyone will give it a look.

Both earlier collections are linked above in the mirror section.

Comment: He also had a sci-fi story named "The Brain Bats of Venus" I guess it was part of a series?

Comment: Hi Scott, I corrected the listing. Brain Bats was one of a small number of sci-fi horror stories he made that were each one and done stories. We included Brain Bats because it was his most famous story and fit the look of the Spacehawk stories.

Comment: Yay to Yoc! Thanks for this fabulous book collection. I'm old enough to have seen Wolverton's entry for Lena the Hyena(?) ugly face contest IN the Al Capp Sunday funnies ON that historic day. Such an odd but appealing style.
