Synopsis: |

Sally says she never asked her father to help Chuck, because she knew Chuck was only asking for shore duty for her sake. Chuck agrees. |

David tells Marion that her “warped mind twisted [his] interest in Joan,” who comes from a poor family and needs the scholarship. He breaks up with her. Marion confesses to the school board and resigns. Joan gets the scholarship and David says he has a new job for Marion: as his wife. |
