Synopsis: Dorie’s older sister Lil helped raise her after their parents’ deaths. Lil and her new husband Dave move into the family house with Dorie. Dorie treats Dave like an older brother, but Lil gets jealous of her sister. Dave says Lil is “anxious, even possessive,” and he and Dorie have to dispel her fears. Dorie pretends to have romantic problems of her own, and this causes Lil to become the protective older sister once more.

Joan accepts blame and resigns but retains John’s love.
