Synopsis: Nancy falls in love with Vic, the playboy son of the owner of the trucking company where she works. When Vic’s elderly father is challenged to a race by a rival company to decide who gets a new contract, Nancy asks Vic to drive but he refuses. She calls him a “spineless weakling” and breaks up with him. However, the next day Vic wins the race and reconciles with Nancy.

She goes to a small resort hotel run by John and his mother. Marion and John fall in love, but she can’t tell him about her condition, so she returns to her wild life in the city. John shows up and says he knows everything. Also, Marion’s doctor says her time in the country and John’s “love has accomplished a miracle!” She’s cured and will marry John.

Synopsis: Urged by her parents and fiancé Lamont, Ellen accepts an invitation to spend the summer on her rich uncle Edgar’s estate. They hope she’ll be made Edgar’s heir. Over her stern uncle’s warning, she falls in love with Hal, a college student working as the gardener. Ellen says they must hide their relationship so she won’t lose Edgar’s money. Because her uncle likes Lamont, Ellen can’t break up with him either, so Hal dumps her. Lamont finds out about Hal but doesn’t care, as long as Ellen shares the fortune with him. Ellen confesses to her uncle, is disinherited, but will marry Hal.

Wald shows up and falls in love with Betty at first sight, but she evades his advances despite her own desires. When Irene asks her to come back and work another night, Betty decides to confront her feelings and agrees. Right in front of Irene, Wald professes his love for Betty again. Irene explains: Wald is her husband’s twin brother, also a Korean War vet. Her husband hasn’t arrived yet! Betty and Wald can now kiss freely.
