Joan and Bob are engaged, but can’t wed until he gets a raise, which is contingent on his company receiving a state contract. Joan romances Tom, who works for a rival firm, so she can find out what their bid will be. Without revealing what she's done, Joan convinces Bob to lower his bid and his company wins. Tom realizes he’s been tricked. Bob learns the truth and breaks up with Joan. Joan confesses everything and since Bob’s company will get the contract anyway because Tom’s company cuts corners, Bob takes Joan back. |
