Synopsis:	Sonia is the court-appointed attorney defending artist Joseph, who’s charged with murdering his wife. She falls in love with him and bribes the prosecution’s witness to lie on the stand; Joseph is acquitted. Sonia says she knows he killed his wife—he admits it and attempts to murder Sonia but he’s shot to death by the police, summoned by Sonia’s colleague Herb.

Sent to a combat zone on a hospital ship, Sally sees Gene leap overboard to save sailors from another ship, including Bob. Sally realizes it’s Gene she loves, and they reconcile.

When he suddenly takes her to fancy restaurants and gives her gifts, Helen thinks he’s stealing charity donations. Lon is arrested and Helen feels guilty. She sells the gifts and her own possessions to make restitution. Lon is freed and Helen asks him for another chance.
