Helen breaks up with longtime boyfriend Don when she starts dating Phil. Phil asks her to have her brother Ted, credit manager of the department store where she also works, approve a credit card for his use. Phil runs up a big bill and fails to pay. Helen is fired and Phil is sent to jail for six months. Helen reconciles with Don, but when Phil gets out, she agrees to run off with him. However, Helen watches a woman on a window ledge decide not to commit suicide, and she regains her determination: Helen goes back to Don. |
