A year later, they meet and Greg says he’s now engaged to Vivian, so Irene gives him back the ring. Vivian is jealous and Greg has doubts about their relationship. Irene says Greg can have her back if he brings her the ring the next day. As the story ends, Irene waits for Greg to see if he has the ring or not...
