She tries to kill him & fails. When she does kiss him, he turns into a handsome prince and she turns into a hideous beast.
Girl visits her grandmother and becomes convinced she is a vampire. Granny is incensed and insulted because she is really a ghoul and kills her granddaughter in fit of pique.
