A 300dpi scan of a book from my collection; 68 pages. Scans and full edits by Builderboy

Includes first appearance of Fletcher Hanks' Big Red McLane and many others. In the Kinks Mason story, it appears that much of the story narrative never made it to paste up. 10 points to anyone who can make sense of the story.

Comment: I'd have to say that the Kinks Mason story reads as if the artist drew it from a synopsis, but the writer either didn't have access to the original synopsis or had totally forgotten the story by the time he received the finished art, and made it up as he went along, in many cases simply ignoring pages that could have used a caption or two, or even a bit of dialog. Or maybe the finished story was originally 24 pages long, and they only used only every third page...

Comment: If I recall the other Kinks Mason stories I've read correctly, that's just how Kinks Mason rolls. :-)

Comment: Big Red was one my favorite Fletcher Hanks characters. I wondered while reading if Hanks had worked as a lumberjack before being a comic artist.
