Synopsis: Jean and her fiancé Glenn are both interns at Mercy Hospital. Jean is assigned to assist brain surgeon Paul. Jean falls in love with Paul, although he's married. Glenn argues with Jean and Paul punches him, causing Glenn to fall and fracture his skull. Paul operates and saves Glenn's life. Jean realizes she really loves Glenn. They get married and leave to work at the Mayo Clinic.

Judy dates Derek; his politician father asks Judy to warn him if the newspaper plans to publish any "ugly gossip" about the family. When Derek hits a boy with his car and drives away, he demands Judy keep this a secret. She refuses and Ken defends her against Derek: Judy realizes she loves Ken.
