Synopsis:	Glamourous Hillary returns to her hometown and steals Oliver from her former best friend Laura. Laura and fellow teacher Dick, who loved Hillary, decide to elope. When they’re caught together by Dick’s landlady, a scandal ensues. Dick hides the fact that he and Laura are married, and offers to resign his teaching job. Laura clears their names by revealing that they are man and wife, and discovers she really loves Dick.

Synopsis:	Ruth is a “one-date girl” because she’s too anxious to find a man to love and marry. “You scare men away by being too anxious and forward with them,” Dr. King advises. Although she says “It’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard,” Ruth agrees to follow his advice with Jeff, alternately acting like an “iceberg” and friendly towards him. Jeff says he’s leaving for Australia. Dr. King: “I don’t understand how this could happen.” Ruth “You’ve ruined my life!” However, Jeff proposes marriage at the last minute and he and Ruth will live happily ever after, in Australia.

When their house catches fire, Clem risks his life to save his mother and she changes her mind, giving her blessing to Clem and Vicky’s romance.
