Comment: In reading this comic I made an observation that has me a little perplexed. In the story (written-no pictures) "Absentee Lover" on pg 26, the 1st line of the 2nd last paragraph of the story the heroine narrates "But one night as I sat watching the VIDEO with dad and mom, the bell rang." This book was published in Dec/53. Did the author do a time trip or was it a mind slip? Were VCRs available that far back? Hummmm...points to ponder. Cheers Net.

Comment: Interesting thought. In those days, which was before my family bought our first TV set, radio was audio. It is not too surprising that someone would refer to television as Video.

Comment: Agree- "Captain Video and his Video Rangers". So not a stretch in 1953 to call TV video.
