They part as friends and return to their new loves.

He refuses. Marion overhears Jimmy and his gangster friends talking about intimidating witnesses, and Jimmy has to rescue her from the other men. During his trial, Jimmy suddenly turns state’s evidence and will get a lenient sentence. Hank and Marion reconcile.

Doris apologises to Jeanne and Jeanne reconciles with Ned. Scott is also willing to start over with Doris.
