| Synopsis: |
Elda is superstitious and believes in astrology. Fortune teller Madame Boiseau says Elda will fall in love with someone whose name begins with “J,” and then Elda meets civil engineering graduate Jud. Jud gets a job with a construction firm, but Madame Boiseau warns Elda that she sees “someone you love…falling like a star!” Elda tells Jud’s boss that Jud is a fake so he’ll be fired from his work on a high-rise building. A newspaper story exposes Madame Boiseau and “the superstitions racket.” Elda clears Jud’s name and they get back together. |
