Marian makes a play for the older man, discovering he mistakenly thinks her sister is a wealthy heiress. Paul thinks Marian has been cheating on him and they break up. However, Shirley explains the situation and Paul and Marian reconcile.

She’s bored by the rustic environment but falls in love with Dusty. However, Dusty refuses to consider leaving the ranch for a city job and they quarrel. Phillip arrives and voices his disapproval of the surroundings, prompting Nan to defend the ranch lifestyle and realize she loves Dusty after all.
