| Synopsis: |
Ellen convinces struggling artist Mike to marry her, even though she’ll have to support them both with her job. Her friend Mildred considers Mike a “parasite who thinks he’s too much of a genius to do some real work.” Ellen eventually comes to believe the same thing, and leaves Mike. Months pass and Ellen learns Mike has become a success. She refuses to go back to him because she was “a fair-weather wife,” but Mike shows up and they reconcile. |
