Synopsis: |
Joan’s widowed mother’s medical bills compel Joan to become a waitress at a swanky resort hotel. David mistakes Joan for a fellow guest; the hotel has a rule forbidding female employees to mingle socially with guests. Nonetheless, David and Joan become close. Nella, a guest who’s also romantically interested in the wealthy David, threatens to have Joan fired unless she promises not to see him again, and Joan agrees. Nella breaks her word and Joan is fired, but now she’s free to tell David the truth. David and Joan, in love, leave the hotel together. |
