She is wooed by farm equipment salesman Frank, who is mature and sophisticated, but her parents oppose the relationship due to the age difference. When Johanna refuses to stop seeing Frank, her father forces her to move out. Johanna goes to the city to be with Frank, and meets his wife. Frank claims his marriage is a sham, but his wife pleads with Johanna to leave her husband alone. Johanna returns to her parents’ farm, repentant.
