Comment: I never dreamt I'd ever see this book. What an amazing amount of history is wrapped up in it! One surprise to me is the quality of the artwork. Even after (or perhaps because of) seeing lots of GA comics I've assumed most early issues were crude. While most of these artists were just starting their careers, their work was quite sophisticated. Thanks, Bud and JVJ, for sharing this treasure.

Comment: Great to be able to see the contents of this (and JUMBO #6), despite the iffy nature of digicam photos. I imagine JVJ had to do these on the quick, which is understandable. We're fortunate to see this early work by Briefer, Eisner, Fine and company. Could the "Spencer Steel" artist be Dick Briefer? It's very tight work, beautifully rendered, and it's not Eisner or Fine... any input on this is welcome!

Comment: Amazing additions to the museum's library, what with the primal work of Eisner, Kirby, Kane, Briefer, Iger et al... effusive gratitude to Bud & Jim for these contributions... Anybody have the REST of the tabloid B&W issues ofr this seminal title?
