After Paul enters the service he changes his mind and they’re married at his Army camp. Paul is still worried and Rita wonders if the marriage was a mistake. Paul is reassured by the chaplain that “Uncle Sam” will care for his wife if Paul is killed in action, and now he can fully commit to Rita and their marriage.
