Here is an early issue of an educational comic produced for Catholic grade schhol distribution. It was different as the way it was sold was as subscriptions to students at the beginning of the school year. The child's parents would add the payment for this to their child's schhol fees, and then every 2 weeks the school got a package of comics that were handed out to the kids who had ordered them. Of course, they young people would get into big trouble if they were supposed to be doing their math, english or geography and were caught reading thier new issue of TREASURE CHEST! (I speak from lots of experience... this was one of many ways I found to get into trouble in grade school.)
