June dates Delia’s art teacher Rod, and decides Delia should change her focus to fashion design so she won’t wind up a “starving artist.” When June smashes a painting Delia wanted to enter in a contest, Rod breaks up with her. Delia, depressed, drops her studies and goes to work in the factory with June. Remorseful, June poses for a portrait painted by Delia.
