Synopsis: Edna flirts with other men to make her boyfriend Johnny jealous, and he finally breaks up with her as a result. When she hears he’s dating Laura, Edna goes out with Lewis in revenge, and agrees to marry him to one-up Johnny. But when Edna tries to break up Johnny and Laura, Lewis sees it and realizes her scheme. Edna attends Johnny and Laura’s wedding and congratulates them sincerely. Lewis takes her back.

Synopsis: Kathy, who lives with her family in a shabby section of town inhabited mostly by poor railroad workers, becomes engaged to her boss Dick, the son of a wealthy businessman. Her neighbor Tom informs her that Dick’s father is buying up the mortgages and intends to dispossess the workers. Kathy learns the prospective landowner is unaware of this tactic. Tom makes a deal so the workers will be paid fairly for their homes. Kathy and Tom will be married.

Keith and Adria will get married and move in, instead.

Lucy and Ivan’s romance is strained by the competition. Lucy wins, then learns her scheming cousin Marta faked the whole “contest” to split up Lucy and Ivan. It doesn’t work: Lucy and Ivan will marry and run the nursery jointly.
