Synopsis: Gwen convinces her artist husband Ron to take a higher-paying job with her brother-in-law Martin, even though Ron knows he won’t be happy there. Martin starts controlling every aspect of Gwen and Ron’s life. Ron finally snaps and stands up to Martin; Gwen agrees with him, and Martin gives in, allowing Ron to take a position more to his liking. Martin’s wife Meg also asserts herself.

Synopsis: After high school graduation, Todd goes to Chicago to begin his singing career and leaves his sweetheart Marion behind in their hometown. Some time later, Marion learns Todd has married someone else. She marries insurance agent Les but continues to follow Todd’s career. Four years later, newly-divorced Todd returns for a visit and Marion offers to divorce Les and marry him. Todd says “we couldn’t build a happy life based on someone else’s misery,” and Marion later learns he’s already engaged to Cynthia. Marion confesses all to Les and he forgives her.

Synopsis: Peg marries U.S. Navy sailor Tommy but he’s shipped out on an “extended training cruise.” When Tommy doesn’t write, Peg allows her friend Laura to set her up on dates with other men. Tommy comes home and catches her kissing another man and they separate. Tommy’s fellow sailor Larry tells Peg that Tommy was faithful to her and is now being sent to Korea. Peg will have to hope Tommy returns safely so she can apologise for her actions.

They argue and Steve leaves her. Vera tells Sheila that Steve misses her and invites Sheila to Steve’s art show. His work is a success and Steve and Sheila reconcile.
