This is the last adventure of Avenger (the Space Detective) and Teena and is pretty much a perfect clone of the previous adventures. The series has definitely settled into a rut. There is a curious penchant for sexy, imbecilic, and destructive female nasties, Bat Women, Wasp Women, suddenly under the control of the latest of Avenger's villainous arch enemies (and HIS female sidekick who has poisonous chemistry with Teena). If the series had gone on we surely would have had vicious imbecilic spider women of Callisto, and vulture women of Pluto, along with the crater gnomes of the moon. To be fair there are often some nice touches, like the skull headed villains here. The backup story is ok, not a bad idea at all. |
