Comment: The disease contracted by Michael Reiner after smelling Sample 452 is described as being bubonic fever, yet that disease is spread by rats, not contact with soil, and takes several days to take effect. The writer seems to have confused bubonic fever with anthrax, which does lie dormant in soil and can survive in that state for centuries.
