Lita sails to a tropical island to marry Gordon, who was kind to her family. Gordon loves native girl Carlotta but has to have an "American" wife to become plantation manager. Meanwhile, Lita has fallen in love with Alex on the cruise to the island. Alex “kidnaps” her and they will be wed; Gordon can marry Carlotta and will get his coveted job anyway.
