Synopsis:	Catherine and sailor Paul get married on the spur of the moment. She leaves her job with Richard, who is always proposing to her. Paul gets out of the Navy and is reunited with Catherine, but when he comes home with lipstick on his collar, she is angry. However, Paul explains that he dropped the groceries and their middle-aged neighbour lady helped him pick them up, hence the lipstick. The neighbour confirms his story and Catherine and Paul reconcile.

He comes home as a hero and is reunited with his wife. Pat’s father shows up and apologises.

Roger’s mother confronts Gwen and accuses her of murdering George; Gwen flees and falls into her own trap. Before she dies, Gwen confesses everything.
