| Synopsis: |
After her father’s death, Margot takes over the failing department store he had founded, learning the job from current manager Gary. Margot and Gary fall in love. To spite Gary, Margot agrees with Ken’s idea to change the store’s focus to upper-class customers. The policy is a failure and Gary breaks up with Margot and quits his job. Margot dates Ken but he turns out to be unfaithful in love and business. Margot tries to save the store but it’s taken over by the bank. Gary is named the new manager and he hires Margot as his secretary, with the possibility of a romantic reconciliation. |
