After that, the old trapper saw no use for the dog until one day a giant brown bear attacked Eric in his cabin, and, though severely injured, the dog held off the bear long enough for Eric to kill it. A few years later, when Eric died, the dog somehow made his way back to Big Rick, who later died in 1926. |
