Comment: For all l know it could have been, but since it says Harry "A" Chesler and Ultem Publications on the inside of the comic it is staying right where it is. Centaur starting publishing the title from #10 as far as l know, l can only go on what it says in the comic itself

Comment: According to Overstreet the 1st Centaur is number 10. 1-9 are published by Harry A Chesler.

Issue: #9
Published: January 1938, Price: 0.10 USD, Pages: 68, Editing: Harry "A" Chesler (Editor, credited); George Nagle (Managing Editor, credited)
Color: Color Dimensions: Standard Golden Age US Paper Stock: Glossy Cover; Newsprint Interior Binding: Saddle-stitched Publishing Format: Was Ongoing Series
Notes: Statement of Ownership, Management, Circulation, Etc. on credits/table of contents page. Index updated from a DCM scan missing pages 31-34 and 61-62. There is considerable confusion surrounding this issue and the previous issue (Star Comics #8) in older sources. The original indexes were taken from Howard Keltner's guide, which appears to have swapped the contents of #8 and #9 (with a few inconsistencies). Even though the DCM scan is incomplete, the table of contents page is unquestionably that of #9, as it includes the indicia as well, and makes it clear that the Keltner listing for #8 come from the contents page of #9.
